Mount Semeru also known as Mahameru is the highest mountain on the island of Java, and is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. One of the uniqueness of this mountain is always issued explosion crater periodically every 15-20 minutes or so, causing a puff of gray smoke sometimes mixed with gravel into the air.
